Book Signing Party – Therese Anne Fowler
The Tulsa Press Club is teaming up with Booksmart Tulsa for a Flappers and Dappers party to bring the 1920′s alive. Join us to hear from Therese Anne Fowler, author of ‘Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald’. The party begins at The Tulsa Press Club, 7 p.m. on May 9th, with a costume contest, jazz band and themed drinks from the Roaring 20′s.
Therese Anne Fowler will talk about her new book that is getting a great deal of buzz. She will answer questions and sign copies. Books will be available for sale on May 9 at the event with some of the proceeds benefitting the Tulsa Press Club.
Details about the Great Plains Journalism Awards and Distinguished Journalism Lecture on May 17
This year’s awards ceremony and seminar will be Friday, May 17 at the Mayo Hotel in Tulsa, Okla.
Ticket prices and more details will soon be announced. The day will include a awards luncheon and presentations from the following award-winning journalists, who also served as judges for our journalism awards:
Alec Klein, former Washington Post reporter, bestselling author and professor who is director of the Medill Justice Project. The project is an investigative journalism enterprise that examines potentially wrongful convictions.
Tim Rasmussen, the assistant managing editor for photography and multimedia at The Denver Post.
Ben Montgomery, enterprise reporter for the Tampa Bay Times, founder of the narrative journalism website Gangrey.com and a recent Pulitzer Prize finalist.
