Ross Parmley will discuss the state of the TU Golden Hurricane athletic program.
Parmley was named Director of Athletics at The University of Tulsa on January 19, 2012, following three months serving as the school’s interim athletics director. He served in the interim capacity since October 14, 2011, a day after Bubba Cunningham left TU to become the athletics director at the University of North Carolina.
Parmley’s most recent work at TU includes Deputy Director of Athletics, Associate Athletics Director for Operations and Administration. In 2007, he also served as director of the Golden Hurricane Club on an interim basis. In that year the fundraising arm of athletics surpassed its goal of $1.7 million.
During his tenure at The University of Tulsa, Parmley has also supervised the athletic business office, ticket office, equipment staff and game day operations as well as the development and supervision of the annual athletic department budget. He has had sport supervision for tennis and golf and served as the lead in planning and coordination of the TU golf practice facility at Patriot Golf Course. Parmley has also been responsible for revising TU’s athletic department policies and procedures.
