Looking to get involved at the Tulsa Press Club? Here’s a list of ways you can do that.

Marketing Committee – If you are interested in helping spread the word about the fun and educational programs of the Tulsa Press Club and would like to participate in marketing efforts, please contact Lisa Frein.

First Draft Committee - Enjoy beer, meeting people and promoting the Tulsa Press Club? Join the First Draft committee. First Draft is the Press Club’s annual beer tasting event highlighting specialty beers from around the world. This is our fifth year and the event promises to be bigger and better than ever. Oklahoma, Ink., Committee – Founded in 2005, Oklahoma, Ink., is a book fair that honors Oklahoma authors. The free event is open to the public and takes place annually around Thanksgiving at the Harwelden Mansion in Tulsa. Committee members are needed to help contact authors, secure corporate and/or individual cash sponsorships, secure donated appetizers for the author/sponsor reception prior to the event, and for day-of activities like set up/break down, greeting authors and the public. Great Plains Journalism Awards - The Tulsa Press Club is hosting its second annual Great Plains Journalism Awards, a regional journalism competition. The awards, which recognize outstanding work from newspapers and magazines in eight states, are another way for the club to support its mission to “promote the highest standards of journalism.” For more information, visit the website. Website Committee – The website committee maintains the Tulsa Press Club site by posting the latest Club news and events, and refreshing content all the time. Contact Nancy Spring or Tim Jackson.

Media Icons Committee – The Tulsa Press Club’s Media Icons reception will honor some of the biggest names in Tulsa media.  Contact Stan Whiteford.

Membership Committee – Help promote memberships at the Tulsa Press Club by joining the membership committee. We’re always looking for new members to join and enhance the Club. Contact Missy Kruse.
